S. MAJUMDAR & CO. is looking for an experienced Associate to join our Trade Marks team in our Kolkata office. This role requires 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in handling trademark matters, including prosecution, opposition, and other contentious matters.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
– 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: Excellent written and spoken English.
– 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Admission with Bar Council is mandatory. Please include your enrolment ID and AIBE status in your cover letter.
– 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Preference for candidates with experience in trademark matters, show cause hearings, and opposition hearings before the Trade Marks Registry.
– 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: Competency with basic programs is essential.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
– Advisory activities related to trademarks
– Conducting clearance searches
– Analyzing office actions and drafting responses
– Attending show cause and opposition hearings
– Conducting legal research
